Practical and theoretical objectives

Insofar as the course tries to meet different needs and aspirations, it will deal with the following points:

- Offering a basic training to the students
- Assisting the students willing to carry out a specific photographic project.
- To promote and supervise a personal project drawing on the capacities and the specificities of the photographic medium

Course contents

Bac 2
The course offers a technical training, exercises allowing the students to discover or exploit the potential specific to the medium.

Bac 3
The students may choose to engage in or pursue a specific photographic project or to receive pedagogical and technical support in relation to their personal project.

Pedagogical methods

Film projections, presentations of works by photographs and artists, and a deeper analysis of the stakes and of the means of a work allow to situate photography within the context of its history and of its relation to other fields.

Specific trainings are elaborated, according to the needs of the students. They are broken down as follows:
- Technical accompaniment (basic lessons, studio work, Photoshop for photographers, printing, etc.)
- Work analysis
- Spacialization, diffusion
- Discoveries and analyses from works bearing a relation with the students’ current projects.

Modes and criteria of evaluation

Continued evaluation. Students will be provided with the different aspects justifying their rating.
50% = motivation, adequate quality of the production in regard to the project, relevance of the choices made by the students.
50% = jury composed by teachers.
